I call this newsletter “Adapt or Perish!” 

Every business, municipality, school district and government agency must either adapt or perish over the long-term.  Those that can adapt to new technologies, new budget issues, new social issues, etc. have a much higher potential to succeed long-term.

If you are close to my age, you may remember the brick cellular telephone that provided at best the ability to talk over the air waves to another cellular or land line telephone.  Who would have ever thought that a few years into the future cell phones would provide such services to us as text messaging, video streaming, taking photos and emailing them to others, GPS and Internet access.  As a user of cellular telephones years ago, if you did not adapt, you would have perished along the way!  I also remember some one saying at a business that I worked at that we would never use a fax machine!  During the past 15 years you could not have done business with out a fax machine.  However, more and more people are scanning documents and attaching them to emails rather than faxing.  Again, adapt or perish!
