A Message from the CEO

Besides loosing one hour of sleep, day light savings time presented other issues with many of our customers this year, about 21 of them to be exact. Since day light savings time was pushed forward this year, those customers who operate dispatch centers with time and date stamping, required immediate attention to reset software. Thanks to our talented technical staff, we were able to coordinate and touch every dispatch center to address this issue without loosing a beat! Our staff is the best!

Trained and talented technicians who care about your communications network make all the difference when you select what Motorola dealer you want to do business with. All of you have invested a substantial amount of money in to your communications equipment, both infrastructure and subscribers. That investment will only be a prudent investment if the system is licensed correctly, installed correctly, optimized correctly and maintained correctly. At Advanced Electronics, Inc., we have over 56 years of experience selling, installing and maintaining Motorola equipment. Our seasoned technicians attend regular training on new equipment and software, which is updated regularly. If you care about getting the most for your dollar, while insisting on a quality result, please give us a call. You will find that our prices for new Motorola products including replacement batteries and accessories are more than competitive. Additionally, you will receive the benefit that 56 years of experience can give to you. No other dealer in Southern California can offer what Advanced Electronics, Inc. can!

Job site asset loss is becoming more prevalent in Southern California. Advanced Electronics, Inc. is proud to announce a new product from DeWalt, the Mobilelock GPS locator with anti-theft alarm. The Mobilelock can be mounted inside a container, a tool shed, on to equipment and even inside a spool of copper cable. The Mobilelock can be preprogrammed to active during certain non-working hours and offers alarm notification and GPS location. The Mobilelock is available with vibration sensors, door contact sensors, temperature sensors and tamper sensors. Over $1 billion per year is lost due to the theft of construction equipment and tools. 85 – 90% of stolen equipment is never recovered. If you would like to know more about this revolutionary product and how you can protect your assets, give us a call at 310-725-0410!

Again, thank you for your ongoing support and dedication. We are in business to serve you!

Sincerely,

Bob Conrey
CEO / President

Lithium Ion Batteries

Special Package Ensures Better Battery Life with Lithium Ion Batteries!

Do you have CP150, CP200, or PR400’s in your radio fleet?

Motorola makes many different models of batteries, with the majority of them falling into three major types: Nickel-Cadmium (Ni-Cd), Nickel-Metal Hydride (NiMH), and Lithium Ion (Li-Ion).

Unlike other battery technologies Lithium Ion has these advantages:

  • Superior power to weight ratio for a lighter, smaller power supply
  • They don’t experience a “memory effect”

Now is your opportunity to upgrade to a lighter battery with longer talk times.

Kit applies to CP150, CP200 and PR400 only.

Offer valid from November 8 through March 31, 2007

TDMA - Time-Division Multiple-Access

Time-Division Multiple-Access enables splitting of channels to allow multiple access on a single channel and preserves full channel width but divides it into alternating timeslots that can carry individual calls.

Why Time-Division Multiple-Access (TDMA)?

  • One digital repeater replaces two analog repeaters
  • Reduces infrastructure, acquisition, setup, and maintenance costs
  • Transmits more information
  • Supports more users

Features of TDMA

  • Two slot 12.5 kHz – increased system capacity
  • Permits two simultaneous conversations with a single repeater
  • Supports both voice and data
  • Fits seamlessly into existing licensed channels
  • Standards based solution (ETSI and DMR)

12.5kHz / 25 kHz

      •  1 voice for each 12.5/ 25kHz channel
      •  1 repeater for each channel

12.5kHz TDMA

  •  Divides existing channel into two timeslots
  •  Delivers twice the capacity through repeater
  •  Performance is same or better than 12.5kHz FDMA
  •  1 repeater does work of 2
  •  Reduced need for combining equipment
  •  Enables 40% increase in radio battery life

TDMA vs. FDMA Technology

FDMA is not the most effect choice:

  • Concerns regarding performance in real world conditions for range and interference
  • Users may struggle to cost-effectively translate the spectrum efficiency benefits into increased capacity
  • FDMA does not offer improvements in battery talk time
  • No supporting standard for FDMA in licensed bands; limits long-term flexibility in user choice of suppliers
  • Portable-only solutions

Professional digital two-way radio systems operating on licensed spectrum offer capabilities that other mobile technologies cannot. These advantages make it the clear choice for mobile organizations that require an affordable, flexible, highly reliable solution—along with the power and range available only in licensed bands.

TDMA is Ideal for the Demands of

Transportation • Hometown Security • Construction • Public Services
Hospitality • Higher Education
