A Message from the CEO |
 |
| |
I am extremely proud to announce that Advanced Electronics, Inc. has been named one of only a few 2009 Motorola Pinnacle Club winners in North America!

Advanced Electronics, Inc. is the only Motorola dealer servicing the Los Angeles area to accomplish this milestone. Additionally, we are one of only two dealers in all of southern California that were accepted into the Motorola Pinnacle Club for 2009!
Mr. Mark Kroh, the Vice President of North America Channels for Motorola said: “Your exceptional performance during the past year has enabled you to soar above the rest. Your sales of Motorola radio and accessory products in 2009 were remarkable and exceeded our expectations for your dealership. Your accomplishments in promoting Motorola products make you a leader among your peers. We look forward to continuing this valuable partnership by recognizing your dealership for the hard work and extra effort.”
Dee and I are extremely fortunate to have such an outstanding team of coworkers in our organization. It is their collective dedication to providing the highest level of professionalism, expertise and true caring about each of our customers that have helped us through the worst recession since the Great Depression.
I especially thank each of you for your support, partnership and confidence not only for this past year, but also for the past 50+ years for many of you. We look forward to continuing to serve your communications, security and wireless broadband needs for many more years to come! |

We appreciate and value your business.
Sincerely,
Bob Conrey |

Narrowbanding Mandate Solutions |
 |
| |
 |
| |
|
In December 2004, the Federal Communications Commission mandated that all private LMR users operating below 512 MHz move to 12.5 kHz narrowband voice channels and highly efficient data channel operations by January 1, 2013. Using narrowband channels will ensure that organizations take advantage of more efficient technology and, by reducing channel width, will allow additional channels to exist within the same spectrum space.
To phase in the migration deadline of January 1, 2013, the FCC has established interim deadlines. The first important deadline is January 1, 2011, after which:
- The FCC will not grant applications for new voice operations or applications to expand the authorized contour of existing stations that use 25 kHz channels. Only narrowband authorizations will be granted.
- The FCC will prohibit manufacture or importation of new equipment that operates on 25 kHz channels. This will reduce the availability of new equipment for legacy radio systems and will affect how agencies maintain and upgrade older systems

To help your employees communicate when operating in noisy environments,
MOTOTRBO provides digital noise suppression and audio that stays clear
throughout the coverage area. Moreover, MOTOTRBO supports new digital
applications, including text messaging, providing an alternative way to get a
message through when noise prevents voice communication or when employees
can't safely answer a call. And if your facility operates a fleet for local pick-up,
delivery or warehousing, GPS-based Location Services can simplify and
streamline your fl eet management.

MOTOTRBO™ Return on Investment (ROI) |
 |
| |

Cost management is a vital part of running your business. With an integrated GPS modem, MOTOTRBO provides exceptional value for two-way radio communication that requires location tracking capability. Let's take a look at the ROI for a MOTOTRBO system utilizing a location software application versus a subscription based GPS solution.
First, with subscription based GPS solutions there are often other costs to consider. These can include a one time activation charge which can be up to $299, separate GPS hardware, a PC and a cellular phone.
Pricing for subscription based GPS solutions can vary dependent upon the GPS update requirements. These can range from $15.95 per month for five minute updates, $22.95 per month for two minute updates and $29.95 for one minute updates. As you can see by the chart below, subscription costs can run as high as almost $6,000 per month when the GPS solution is operating on 200 devices.
