The number 2 ranked USC Trojans suffered a major 24 to 23 loss to Stanford! Under Pete Carroll’s leadership the Trojans have had 2 national championships, 3 Heisman Trophy winners and brought in tens of millions of dollars in revenue! Coach Carroll is now in the process of re-evaluating his team and getting back to basics in an effort to continue in his winning ways.
On October 9th, Sprint / Nextel Corporation named former Bank of America Corp. Chief Financial Officer, Jim Hance as their new non-executive chairman, after receiving the resignation of Chairman and CEO Gary Fursee. Recent calls from investors and analysts to “beef up” Sprint / Nextel’s financial performance and to increase its competitiveness were in part the cause for his resignation. After the Sprint / Nextel merger, customers experienced more dropped calls and poor service. About 300,000 customers dropped their Sprint / Nextel service in the fourth quarter of 2006!
